Our visit with some family and Arizona

We were so excited to have my mom, Kristen and Stacey be able to come up and stay with us.   They got here June 23 in the evening and I was so excited to see them!  Braxton, Trevon and I went out back so that way they could bring stuff in.  While the boys were playing with the stuffed animals and having fun Kristen told us some exciting news!!! SHE’S PREGNANT! yippy!! 😀  Later that night Kristen noticed that Braxtons eyes were starting to swell up.  J took her to Rons/Shopko to see if they were still open to get some benadryl.  Alas they weren’t so they made a trip to Cody.  We weren’t sure at that point what was doing it to him, we all felt so bad!  The next morning it was worse, I called J’s mom to see what doctor was working and she made an appointment for Braxton.  Thats when we found out he is highly allergic to cats :(, poor kid!  When they got back Kristen, Braxton and Stacey took a nap, I played go fish with Trevon and my mom made me some curtains out of material from my Grandma Martin.  At lunch Justin and his brother Brandon gave Braxton and blessing.  I love having family around!  Kristen traded rooms with my mom so that way the cat wouldn’t go in the room and make it worse.  That night was hard for him and her.    Kristen told Michael and he said “Come home now!”, I wanted to be selfish and have them stay longer because I was having fun with them visiting.  But watching my nephew trying to breathe was hard on me.  They left that morning and it was hard to see them go!

We were so blessed to be able to come down to Arizona and spend a 1 1/2 week with my family.  We left home on the 2nd and got to my parents house midmorning on the 3rd.  That night we went out as a family to eat at Casa its a family favorite! When my mom called to make a reservation we all counted 19 people, of course we didn’t have everyone here we were missing Nick and Maverick.  The next day we all got ready to go to Bylas to shoot off fireworks.  While playing a dice game with Trevon, Brooklyn, Zack and Meghan we hear screaming.  We learned that a little girl was attacked by bee’s, she was lucky she didn’t get stung.  My dad and Jordan was shooing them away while Meghan’s sister picked the little girl up went away from the bee’s.  My dad left go to and set up for another show, I asked him if he’d like some help since he was the only one doing that show, he said no that I needed to be with family.  We had to cover all the fireworks because there was a nasty wind that came through and it was spitting a little.  I went to go help with that since they needed more hands.  After we got all of them covered I went to go help with dinner and helped pass around the sandwiches.  All the kids seemed to be having fun!

Nick came up to where all of us girls were (except Meghan’s sister) and said that the show wouldn’t be at 8:30 it was pushed back till 9.  The firework show was amazing, I’m always happy when I can see all the hard work, dedication going into setting up a show and then seeing them being lit up.

Saturday we had a baby shower for Stacey, the decorations, food, company, games was all so amazing and fun.
Sunday Bethanie, and Kristen and their families left since Kristen had to be in Mesa that night for a family reunion.
Monday morning Stacey and Jace left.
Wednesday J and I drove up to Mesa to hang with them before we left.  We got there and Bethanie, Kristen and Brooklyn were painting Brooklyns room.  I loved it! I wish I got a picture of it all being done but alas I didn’t.
Thursday we were gonna leave early in the morning so that way we could see our cousin who we hadn’t seen in years.  But I had noticed my eyes were started to swell up and so I had to wait till J and Nick got back from fishing to see if they had any medicine I could take.  When they got back around 5:30am I had J look at it and ask Nick if they had any medicine, he came and looked at it he then asked what I did.  I told him I didn’t know, but then I remembered I used some Aveeno make up remover the Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.  I now know I can’t use anything Aveeno :(.  He gave me some benadryl and tylenol.  I was out till I heard the boys up a few hours later.  I felt bad for only staying 1 night.  J looked at me and said “take a nap, we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon”.  It was nice because we both got to spend more time with the everyone.  We weren’t able to see my cousin this trip but I’m hoping that the next time we go down (or I go down) we are able to see her.
Friday we did laundry and were able to go out to lunch with my mom and a really good friend of mind.  This was J’s first time joining us, I was happy he came along!  That night we took my parents and Jordan and Meghan out for dinner which was nice to be able to say goodbye to them.
Saturday we packed up our car and started driving.  That night we would be stopping in Lovell to stay at a friends house for some rest.  We didn’t get there till 4:30 am but we did get there without any accidents so that was a plus!  We woke up around 9-9:30, had breakfast and got to catch up with them since it had been 2 years since we last saw them.  I was so glad that we were able to do that!
We got home Sunday night around 7pm.  It was so nice to be able to sleep in our own bed and in our nice cool house!
All in all I think it was a good trip, yes there was a few hiccups along the way but other then that it was a good trip.
